Priva Building Intelligence partner, Red Star Electric in Sault
Ste. Marie, Ontario led the installation of a new CompriHX system
in an industrial property. With a simple and rapid install, Red
Star comments on how the project progressed with the help of Priva
Building Intelligence.
The Richard's Landing Water Treatment Plant in the Township of
St. Joseph's, outside of Sault Ste. Marie serves approximately
2,000 people. The water treatment plant required a new building
automation control system and turned to Red Star Electric in Sault
Ste. Marie for technical support and service. Automation and
Communications specialist Alen Turcotte suggested a Priva redesign
based on Priva's ability to have remote access support, pricing and
needs of the water treatment facility.
Red Star Advises
Turcotte advised the water treatment plant to install Priva
products based on the needs', cost, efficiency and history of use
with Priva products. Turcotte installed a CompriHX6 Controller,
with Ethernet capability. The CompriHX Controller communicates
with, and controls all of the systems in the treatment plant
building, allowing the plant to manage all building control
requirements.
Rapid Install
Alen Turcotte of Red Star Electric noted the install to be
"physically easy, as it was a control-for-a-control install and the
support from Priva North America was great - I had good support
from Priva North America in product development and remote access".
Turcotte noted that the technical support from Priva North America
was excellent, "we had four days of discussions through remote web
access", which helped the project run smoothly to completion.
Turcotte noted that Priva North America "provided Red Star with an
additional level of contact with the user, which allowed us to
tailor the system to the customers' needs'".

With Red Star Electric spearheading the installation and onsite
support, the water treatment plant is happy with the Priva products
in use, which manage their building controls. Red Star Electric is
currently working on numerous Priva projects.
