What makes Priva interface panels so
unique?
Priva interface panels are completely designed and tested at our
Priva location, making installation simple and saving the
greenhouse operator time and money. Troubleshooting with Priva is
simple with a custom designed drawing package and accessible
customer support directly from Priva.
An Electrician's Perspective on Priva interface
panels
John Ham, Priva electrician, explains that Priva interface panel
drawings have improved over the years to allow the install process
to move quickly and easily. The drawings also allow for simplistic
troubleshooting in the future. Each interface panel from Priva is
custom made, but follows a basic design which makes identifying
components for electricians and service people easier.
Ham notes that "with Priva's new interface switching,
electricians can see what state each piece of equipment is in and
the ability to override it from the panel". The ease of install
allows a greenhouse operator to use their local and trusted
electrician, as any trained electrician has the capacity to install
Priva interface panels.
Priva also knows that future growth is important to greenhouse
growers; each panel has adequate space for expansions and add-ons,
which allows a grower to include new components when expanding or
adapting their greenhouse.
Ham includes the customer service support team that is
accessible to Priva customers, "Priva has support for customers and
electricians that can aid with the install if the installer ever
comes across an issue".
An End-User's Perspective on Priva interface
panels
Battlefield Farms in Virginia operates a 50 acre farm, with 30
acres in covered greenhouse. Recently, Battlefield Farms underwent
a major retrofit to update the greenhouse and control systems and
received Priva interface panels to control all aspects of the
greenhouse.
Battlefield Farms received the Priva interface panels in phases
due to the size of the project; the first panels were delivered in
July 2011. Jamie Herring, the maintenance advisor for Battlefield
Farms noted the decision to go with Priva was simple; "we went with
Priva because Priva has good service, it's easier to use and we
wanted all our greenhouses to have one uniformed software".
Battlefield Farms produces a wide variety of floriculture
products from poinsettias to pansies to violas. Battlefield
required the accuracy and control only Priva interface panels can
deliver. Since the delivery of the interface panels, Herring noted
that the Priva interface panels have helped "both long and short
term operations; Priva is easier to work with and troubleshooting
is good. Priva is user-friendly and yes, I would absolutely get
Priva interface panels again".
